Ready Steady...

They might not have been moving about very much at this point, but these little red riding hoods in a lake near Frankfurt were simply waiting for the start signal to the Ironman European Championship Triathlon 2008, which took place on Sunday, July 6. In addition to swimming for 3.8 kilometers (2.36 miles), participants also had to bike for 180 kilometers and then run a marathon, i.e. 42.2 kilometers. Australian Chris McCormack won the grueling race in 7 hours 59 minutes and 55 seconds. Bildunterschrift:
