Path of Democracy

At last year's Beethovenfest in Bonn, the 60th anniversary of the Federal Republic of Germany was commemorated in music at historic locations in the onetime West German capital.

 

The name of the day-long concert marathon: "Path of Democracy," and the music: from the 1950’s to the 1990’s. Highlights in this broadcast, with compositions by Thierry de May, György Ligeti, Leonard Bernstein and Astor Piazzolla.
