Wood instead of gasoline as fuel. It's filling up Finnish style. A group of enthusiasts has converted their vehiciles to run on carburated wood gas. The technology was developed in the 1930s and briefly experienced a boom during World War Two. Post-war economic boom led to its disappearnce in Germany. But not in Finland where the abundance of forests meant the technology survived. Juha Sipilä is one of enthusiasts who shows us his 1987 Chevrolet El Camino. He has converted to run on wood chips or gasoline.
