Your visit will begin with an introduction to the work and mission statement of Deutsche Welle. A short film will provide you with information about Germany’s international broadcaster and its media pillars. After this, you will have the chance to discuss specific issues with an expert, depending on your interests. You will also see how reports are produced using a digital audio work station and attend a live broadcast in one of our modern studios. The exact schedule will comply with the current broadcasting and production activities. We will also gladly introduce you to our Internet site DW-WORLD.DE, as well as to the electronic information services we use, such as newswires, digital archives and the press database. Our guids will also explain the architecture and history of the building.
On request, you can also find out how Deutsche Welle fosters the German language by offering interactive German courses and providing manuscripts with a glossary or news bulletins designed for those learning the language.
You can visit Deutsche Welle Monday to Friday at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Tours are also available in French, Spanish and Portuguese, upon request.
Participation is free of charge.
Please note that the tour includes a lot of walking, as well as normal and spiral staircases and catwalks.
